$10.00

The world we live in today is a far cry from the world our educators knew as students. Today our world is globally connected, technologically driven, and FAST. To keep up with the demands of the future world, our students need to be immersed in lessons that address our global, technological society. Hunt for the Magic Stone does just that.

Immerse your students in this fast-paced race that will take them on a global trek on which they will reinforce geography skills while they try to escape from the snide villain and uncover the power of the stone of wisdom!

The questions for each section of the activity are designed to refine students’ geographic skills as they interpret maps from around the United States. They will have tasks where they need to use maps to explain relationships between the location of places and their environment, explain cultural and environment characteristics over time, understand the need for trade and the distribution of crops, and understand natural disasters. They will have a wide variety of answers to look for with the given maps. Each section is divided into groups of 5 tasks that must be completed successfully before moving on to the next section.

Included in your Hunt for the Magic Stone are the following:

  • Links to the websites for the Adventure
  • Worksheet organizer for students
  • Reproducible student packet for those not doing a digital escape
  • Teacher answer key
  • Certificate for locating the magic stone

” Very fun, but my 6th graders needed some help. More capable students did well and found it amazing!” Emma C.
